Perks and Benefits for Team Members: Weekly Pay and $10 Health Plans

As we continue working toward our goal of hiring more than 10,000 team members this summer, we wanted to highlight a bit more about our culture and benefits.

We have a people-first culture, which means we are committed to the care of our team. Weekly pay, free meals each shift for hourly team members, $10-a-week health plans and vision and dental coverage are just a few of the incredible benefits offered to our team members.

We spoke with a few current team members about their thoughts on what it’s like being part of the Pilot Company family and how the benefits help to fuel them and their families.

Kayla, what is your favorite part about working at Pilot Company?

“I have been a Team Member here at Pilot for 4 years. I love this company and could never see myself working anywhere else. Pilot really cares about the employees and it shows from so many different aspects. My personal opinion is the benefits in which they offer. I’m very meticulous about my health care. Pilot offers $10 a week for health plan coverage that in my experience ever encountered. Making it extremely affordable to have health insurance. In fact, until I started Pilot, I was unable to afford insurance because it would cause financial hardship. Secondly, Pilot truly goes above and beyond by allotting $10 a day for/toward our workday meals. I am truly grateful for Pilot’s forethought and generosity. Lastly, the weekly pay is so helpful. It allows me to spread out my bills and still have money that bi-weekly pay did not. There is nothing worse than getting paid and it all going to bills. So, for me weekly pay makes my life struggles easier to manage and still be comfortable until my next payday. These are only a few examples of how Pilot treats us. I am extremely grateful and honored to be a part of this establishment. My only regret is not applying sooner.”

Mia, how do Pilot Company benefits support you? 

“When it comes to the insurance it honestly really helps me! It covers pretty much everything. It’s covering my surgery that I’ll be having around the end of September or the beginning of October. That will be life-changing! A lot of insurance won’t cover that completely. Getting paid every week helps a lot as well because by the end of the week I’m ready for my next check! I never have to really worry about waiting for every two-week check, which is really nice! I was working at McDonald’s and came back to Pilot Arby’s for all of their amazing benefits! The pay around our area is horrible, with most places still offering minimum wage. I definitely recommend joining the team.”

Mo, what is your favorite benefit offered by Pilot Company? 

“I do not have health insurance through the company however, I do have dental and vision insurance. The vision insurance is amazing and in the many years that I have had it, have NEVER had any issues despite the procedures that I have needed to have done. Some frames they cover in full, others they give an amazing discount on. The dental insurance I would have to say is equally as good as well.  They have covered a large majority of the dental work I have needed to have done that was corrective from previous dentists.”
