Perks and Benefits for Team Members: Professional Development

As a growth company, our team members’ professional goals and successes are incredibly important to us. We are always trying to help fuel their journeys by growing their careers.

There are many ways we support our team members with great benefits and perks, including providing the professional development they need to excel in their career. These programs are offered to both full and part-time team members.

If you’re looking to launch your career with us, we are ready to support your professional aspirations with these fantastic opportunities. Our robust Leadership Programs set our team members and their teams up for success.

Gunner Gibson, the General Manger at Store 571, completed a leadership program to broaden his knowledge of the business, while learning how to be an effective leader for his team.

“My experience in the Leadership Program was one of the best decisions I have ever made to where I am today in my career with Pilot Company. The program allowed me to learn the business from the ground up from cashiering, Cinnabon, Maintenance, Hot Deli, QSR, etc. Many men and women took the time to train me and gave me the key components to be successful and that was to work hard, be humble, listen well, and make a family culture to build a great team,” said Gunner Gibson.

Similar to the program that Gunner completed, our Talent Development team now offers a virtual General Manager Leadership Development Program to new travel center general managers in the field. The class is a 5-week, 1 day a week program reviewing essential operational practices for Leadership Development. The program covers coaching, financial review, developing consistency with routine execution, and leadership development.

“Thanks so much for an amazing experience!  I had an opportunity to learn with my peers. Over the past 5 weeks, I was able to apply my learnings each week to my store and team members, which gave me complete buy in and inspired me to spend more time developing my team. All facilitators were engaging, Kina, Sally, and Candace gave me great insight on how to coach, apply my DISC style for team building, and ensured I had a great support system at the SSC. Jason Nordin even visited our group online and he allowed us to ask great questions and we were able to offer recommendations on new routines feedback and Brand Walk execution. Overall wonderful experience learning and meeting new GMs just like me and having great mentors that I will keep in contact with! I will definitely recommend to my peers in the Field,” said a participant in the General Manager Leadership Development Program.
