Meet Kurt: Truck Care Technician

Our Truck Care Service Centers and technicians, like Kurt, are ready to quickly help professional drivers fix their trucks and get the maintenance services they need to keep their wheels turning.

We caught up with Kurt, a technician at our St. Augustine location, and got a behind-the-scenes look at how he and the team are helping drivers. With the season change in full swing, our Truck Care teams are doing free tire checks and mid-trip inspections in November to give driver’s piece of mind while on the road. Visit any of the 32 Service Center locations to get an inspection and be road ready.

Kurt has been working in the truck maintenance industry for over 30 years. He recently joined our team four months ago and works mostly on the electrical issues that come through the shop.

Kurt enjoys talking to and helping the many people that come through the Truck Care doors. Each day differs for Kurt and the team members in St. Augustine, but everyone works together to tackle and fix what each driver needs. “We have great people and great energy. Everyone really comes together,” said Kurt.

“Truck drivers have long days and having truck issues adds more stress to their journey, so we always try to make them laugh or feel better since we realize this is a major inconvenience for them,” said Kurt.

Kurt credits his manager, Zach, for his passion to take care of guests and the team. “Zach is a top notch manager and really cares about all of us and our guests by doing simple acts, like buying Cinnabon while guests are waiting on their car or truck to be fixed,” said Kurt.

Kurt emphasized the importance of training and said they are always learning and teaching the newer techs to stay up to speed with state-of-the art equipment and methods.
