Last week, we gave free gas to military personnel in Oak Grove, Ky. for Operation Tank Full of Love. Local volunteers pumped gas for nearly 1,600 veterans, active soldiers and dependents of those who are deployed.

“The support that our employees, friends, family, volunteers and drivers gave to these soldiers was outstanding. It truly was a special day,” said Pilot Flying J CEO, Jimmy Haslam. “We owe everything to our military, and if we can help them out and show our appreciation in some small way, I’m overjoyed to do it.”

The Oak Grove Pilot, located off I-24 at exit 86, gave away more than $32,000 of fuel during Operation Tank Full of Love. This is the third year we have done this, and the success continues to grow. Local church group volunteers and our employees served the men and women who protect this country by pumping their gas and thanking them for the hard work they do. Take a moment out of your day to thank someone you know who has served, or is serving, in the military.
