Today, we kick off our 8th annual Road Warrior contest! Road Warrior celebrates and rewards professional drivers for their hard work, perseverance and dedication.
This year, we are accepting Road Warrior submissions during our annual Driver Appreciation Month. All throughout September, we are taking time to thank the millions of professional drivers who go above and beyond every day to keep North America moving.
“Our annual Road Warrior contest shines a spotlight on the enormous impact professional drivers have on our economy and our communities,” said Jason Nordin, chief operator for Pilot Flying J. “Every day, we have the privilege of serving professional truck drivers in our stores and we hear these incredible stories of their heroism on the highways. Help us recognize these Road Warriors by nominating them and they could win $10,000.”
From September 1 – September 30, 2021, anyone can nominate a U.S.-based professional driver for the chance to be named the 2021 Road Warrior. These hardworking haulers have the chance to win a grand prize of $10,000, $5,000 for second place or $2,500 for third place.
We accept nominations by anyone, including self-nominations. Don’t be shy!
New to this year’s contest, nominations are accepted directly on our Pilot Flying J Facebook page to make the submission process easier. To enter*, simply comment on the pinned Road Warrior post with a story recognizing a professional truck driver for going above and beyond. You can also submit nominations on the Road Warrior website at pilotflyingj.com/roadwarrior.
Last year’s grand prize $10,000 winner was Lenwood “Eric” Britton. Eric is a veteran who spent 15 years in the army. He left the 82nd airborne division to work as a professional driver and then a safety driver trainer. Helping others and driving safely are his passions.
