One of the greatest journeys in life is the adventure of raising children. Being a mom is one of toughest and most rewarding jobs out there, and we appreciate all that moms do for their families. Mother’s Day is a special chance to say “Thanks!” and we are honored to recognize one extraordinary mom that left a lasting impression on our team.
Super mom, Victoria Andrade, is last year’s winner of our annual Road Warrior contest. She is a full-time mom and driver for UPS. She attributes her success at work and as a mother to her determination and always striving to do better.
Family is incredibly important to Victoria and they were all extremely proud to be part of her surprise winner’s celebration hosted by our team at the Pilot in Falfurrias, TX. “My daughter has always been my motivation in life to be a good mother and provider,” says Andrade.
Being named last year’s Road Warrior contest winner came as a shock to Victoria. “As a single mom and UPS employee, I am honored. My thoughts were that I had represented my family’s name ethically and with our core values.”
Andrade says that work hard pays off at the end, but that it’s important to remain true to yourself and humble during the process. “You should never give up and lessons learned become experience under your belt.”
As for being a super mom:
“My advice to the mothers is to be independent no matter how difficult it gets. Respect yourself as a woman because your children or family look up to you.”
