This December, all professional drivers who keep Records of Duty Status will be required by the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Association to replace their logbooks with Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
How it works:
1. An ELD is a device that records your vehicle’s factors through its synchronization to the engine. It automatically records data such as date, time, location, engine hours, and more at certain intervals throughout your journey.
2. Location data must be recorded by an ELD at 60-minute intervals during the following times:
•When your vehicle is in motion
• When you turn on and shut down the engine
• When there is a change in duty status, and other similar instances
3. The device installs in minutes and contains everything you need to go paperless. Even more, you can easily access your myPilot app through the Transflo® mobile app!
To ensure we continue to be a one-stop shop for the needs and preferences of all our drivers, we are proud to offer Pegasus Transtech’s Transflo® ELD T7 devices at all store locations nationwide. The devices will be available to all our customers at a limited promotion price of $99.99 through the month of August (regular price: $129.99).
With this change in technology, ELDs will help small fleet owners drive more hours each week, monitor fuel consumption and receive maintenance and safety alerts. They will also provide access data for international fuel tax reporting.
