February marks American Heart Month and we’re proud to join the American Heart Association (AHA) in the fight against heart disease with the “Life is Why We Give™” fundraising campaign.
Throughout the month of February, we will join companies across the country in support of the American Heart Association’s mission to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
At Pilot Flying J, we value the importance of heart health and healthy lifestyles for our team members and guests. We are excited to bring this campaign to life by inviting our team members and guests across the country to join us in our effort toward a healthier tomorrow for all those impacted by heart disease and stroke.
We invite you all to join us in our efforts to raise $1 million to directly support critical research and programs of the American Heart Association. Did you know that:
- $1M supports training more than 25 million high school graduates in CPR annually
- $1M supports collaborations that help AHA provide more than 60 million kids with school lunch
- $1M supports AHA’s advocacy efforts to secure legislation that ensures 47 states and Washington DC screen babies for congenital heart defects
Everyone has a reason to live a longer, healthier life – and that reason is why we give. Here are ways that you can give at our locations throughout the month of February:
- Buy a paper heart – $1, $3, $5 red heart icons are available for purchase in support of the American Heart Association. The full amount purchased will be donated directly to the AHA.
- Round Up Your Purchase – Guests can opt to round up their purchase to the nearest whole dollar and Pilot Flying J will donate the full amount of each round-up to the AHA.
- Donate online— Visit http://www.heart.org/pilot to make a donation online.
