In an effort to recognize and celebrate the professional drivers who work so hard to keep America moving, we’re excited to introduce our monthly driver spotlight. Each month we will highlight a professional driver who has been recognized as a great contributor to the professional driving industry.
This month we’re pleased to feature Pilot Flying J Team Member Mark B. as our very first driver spotlight.
Mark began his professional driving career in 1994 after driving in the military. “I have a passion for driving and traveling all across the country,” Mark said. “Someone I knew once said to me, ‘You know, you can get paid for that,’ and once I began my driving career I fell in love with the profession.”
Mark appreciates that his role with Pilot Flying J allows him to engage and connect with people. “I enjoy interacting with others and this job gives me the opportunity to do so,” Mark noted.
Fellow team member, Cody J., shared that Mark “not only cares about our stores, he genuinely cares for us as well. He is always wondering how we are doing outside of work. Not to mention he is always ready to do his best and will always do what is asked of him.”
Mark says his outlook on life and his career has been a big factor in his success. “To me, a job isn’t really a job, it’s a part of my life. I don’t think of it as work, it’s just a part of my day. I give all glory to Jesus Christ, without Him we’d have nothing. I just try to let Him shine through me each day and treat others how I would like to be treated.”
