As we approach our annual National Hiring Day and gear up to welcome 10,000 new team members to the Pilot Company family, we wanted to catch up with different team members from across the business to hear about their experience and what they do to fuel life’s journeys.

Meet Pam: Deli

Flying J #702 in Checotah, Oklahoma

How many years have you worked at Pilot?

Pam: “I started at Pilot 7.5 years ago on September 11th.”

What is your role at Store 702?

Pam: “I started as a deli team member and have been promoted to a Deli Service Lead 2. I will eventually run the Deli as Service Lead 1.”

What is the most exciting part of the work you do at Pilot?

Pam: “The most exciting part about working here is the different challenges every day…new stuff every day!”

What have you learned from the last year through the work you are doing and being an essential worker?

Pam: “I am grateful to have a job during this strange time.  It is good to know that I help keep America running by taking care of the drivers each day.”

What would you tell potential team members about the work you do and Pilot?

Pam: “It is not easy, but if you work hard you can have a great career with a great company!”

What did it mean to you to win the Deli Founder Award? 

Pam: “It was a great honor to be recognized for the hard work that my team has done! First time winning any award here at Pilot!”
