Although our Support Center (headquarters) is located in Knoxville, Tennessee, we also have offices in Texas and Colorado that are essential to keeping our teams and stores going while taking great care of our guests and customers.
One of our team members at the Dallas office, Corey, is a Sales Training Specialist that began his career in Knoxville. He has shaped his journey at Pilot by taking on various roles in different departments and is recognized by his co-workers as genuine, humble, professional and a true joy to be around.
Meet Corey:
Sales Specialist at the Support Center in Dallas, Texas
“The office in Dallas has been open for four years now and is the home to roughly 75% of our Inside Sales team. We have a very diverse team that come from many different backgrounds and speak multiple languages,” said Corey.
He was hired at his college career fair at Stephen F. Austin State University into the 3rd Leadership Academy Class. Corey started in the Leadership Academy in 2017 and worked in operations as a GMD until April 2018. From there, he worked in the Sales Support/Credit Department as a Deal Processor and Credit Coordinator. In October 2019, he moved to the Sales Team as an Account Manager. “I was honored to be awarded the Founder’s Award for my performance during 2020,” said Corey. In April 2021, he started his new position of Sales Training Specialist to facilitate the training of all of the new hires in inside sales.
Corey has been a Pilot Company team member for nearly four years now and enjoys the camaraderie among his team at the Dallas office. “If you were to walk in the Dallas office one of the first things you might notice is that every team member has a 10-inch flag on their desk, either representing their birth country, state, or where the extra languages they speak are spoken the most. The most common flag is the red, white, and blue representing the country we are all lucky and blessed to live in. I am very lucky to work for a company that recognizes the importance of diversity and inclusion,” said Corey.
“I am very lucky to have had so many people across the company to help develop and mentor me as I continue to grow at Pilot; so many that the list probably would not fit all in one email. I love working at Pilot Company because I feel like all of the team members at Pilot are my family. Pilot makes me feel at home and there are countless people I can reach out to for support and growth. From the first day I stepped foot on Lonas Drive, I felt at home.”
