To honor these heroes of the road, we are celebrating and rewarding professional drivers for the entire month of September during Driver Appreciation Month. And we hope you will celebrate them, too!
As a nod to nostalgia and to these pro drivers, we are bringing back the “Trucker Salute.”
To help bring back this beloved pastime, we encourage you to give an arm pump and shout out pro drivers across the country!
Post your video giving a “Trucker Salute” on social media tagging @PilotFlyingJ and use the #ThankATrucker. We will donate $5 to Trucking Moves America Forward for each video posted, up to $25,000. Trucking Moves America Forward, an organization Pilot Company has a long-standing partnership with, educates the public and lawmakers on the importance of the trucking industry and professional drivers.
NASCAR Champion Dale Earnhardt Jr. is helping us kick off the “Trucker Salute” challenge after revealing the Driver Appreciation-themed No. 1 Pilot Flying J Chevrolet at an event last week.
Our CEO, Shameek Konar, shared some of his thoughts on the importance of recognizing professional drivers for everything they do for the North America:
